This week, we are visited by intern Lucas Lund, who is studying EUX Business at Mercantec in Viborg.
As part of his education, Lucas gains insight into how sales activities are carried out in an international B2B company. Throughout the week, he follows several of our departments and develops an understanding of the interaction between sales, production, and engineering.
In addition, he gains a broad insight into the entire value chain – from purchasing and warehousing to planning, production, and customer-facing activities, including participation in a customer training session.
The purpose of the internship is to provide a practical understanding of how theoretical knowledge from his education is translated into concrete tasks and sales activities in everyday work.
At our company, we see internships as a valuable opportunity to give young people insight into how a business operates across functions – and how the different parts work together in practice.
“It is important for us to give young people a realistic understanding of how work is carried out in practice, so they can make an informed choice when selecting their apprenticeship,” says Managing Director Kim Møller Rasmussen.
During his internship, Lucas gains insight into:
• How we work with customer dialogue
• Sales processes and daily tasks
• The interaction between engineering, production, and sales
• How different departments contribute to the overall solution
The internship is part of our ongoing efforts to provide students with practical experience in the business environment.
